Kettering College’s online program was recently ranked the fifth best online college in Ohio for the 2015-16 school year by AffordableCollegesOnline.org (AC Online), a leading resource for online learning and college affordability information. This month, AffordableCollegesOnline.org released its ranking for the 2015-2016 Best Online Colleges for Ohio and Kettering College was listed fifth.

Kettering College President Nate Brandstater says, “This is yet another independent affirmation of the value of a Kettering College education – The fact that our online program was ranked so highly reflects the care and commitment of our online faculty to the success of our students.”

According to a recent study by the Babson Survey Research Group, the online student population in the country is now over 7 million. Nearly ten percent of undergraduate students in Ohio are enrolled exclusively in distance education courses. “We wanted to highlight the schools in each state that are driving innovative learning and meeting demands of students,” says Dan Schuessler, CEO and Founder of AC Online. “These schools are not only offering great programs, but they have expanded their program excellence to the much-desired online environment.”

Ranked schools meet a number of criteria and metrics, including:
– Must offer a bachelor’s degree or higher
– Must be a public or private, not-for-profit institution
– Must offer at least one fully-online bachelor’s degree program

Affordable Colleges Online has distinguished its ranking scale by the use of Peer-Based Value, or PBV. The PBV score compares the cost of each program to the cost of similar programs with the same qualitative score. The rankings can be accessed here: affordablecollegesonline.org/online-colleges/ohio/
